Competitive Edge Innovation LLC d/b/a Competitive Edge Innovations ("CEI," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website or submitting information to CEI, you acknowledge that you have received and reviewed this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you contact us, request a consultation, or engage our services, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and any information you choose to share in messages or during consultations.
Quick Client Snapshot storage. Information submitted through the Quick Client Snapshot may be securely stored through the website's supporting hosting and data-storage services so CEI can review inquiries, respond to prospective clients, and maintain appropriate business records.
Information provided during an engagement. If you become a client, you may share career, employment, education, and business information necessary for us to perform the services you request (for example, work history for a resume, or company information for a capability statement).
Website usage information. Like most websites, our site and the third-party tools we use may automatically collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited. We do not use this information to personally identify visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations;
- Provide, personalize, and deliver the services you request;
- Communicate with you about your project, invoices, and deliverables;

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Ever.
3. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including limiting access to client materials, using reputable service providers, and retaining information only as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and recordkeeping requirements.
Important — please do not submit sensitive documents through our website forms. Our intake and contact forms are for basic contact information only. Resumes, work documents, and other detailed materials should be shared only after an engagement begins, through the method we provide to you. Please never send Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or medical information through any form on this website; we do not request or require that information to provide our services.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party tools to operate our business, which may include form providers, scheduling tools, email services, and payment processors. These providers process information only as needed to perform their functions and are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party payment processor before submitting payment information; CEI does not store your full payment card details.

We do not share client names, stories, or outcomes publicly without written permission. Testimonials appearing on this website are published with the express permission of the individuals named.

Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: July 15, 2026 Last Updated: July 15, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and your purchase of services from Competitive Edge Innovation LLC d/b/a Competitive Edge Innovations ("CEI," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
1. Our Services
CEI provides professional writing, career, and business consulting services, which may include resume writing, cover letters, LinkedIn profile optimization, career coaching, capability statements, bid opportunity evaluation and analysis, business proposals, training materials, and related deliverables ("Services"). The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for your project will be confirmed in writing (email is sufficient) before work begins.
2. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information for use in your deliverables;
- Respond to reasonable requests for information and feedback in a timely manner;
- Review all deliverables carefully before use and notify us of requested revisions within the revision window described in your engagement; and
- Use deliverables lawfully and honestly.
You are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of all information you provide. CEI relies on the information you supply and does not independently verify employment history, credentials, business qualifications, or other facts. You are responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate or misleading information you provide or from your use of any deliverable.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
CEI provides expert, good-faith professional services. However, hiring decisions, interview selections, contract awards, and business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. CEI does not and cannot guarantee that you will receive interviews, job offers, employment, contract awards, winning bids, or any specific result. See our Service Disclaimer for additional detail.
4. Fees, Deposits, and Payment
- Free consultation. Initial consultations are provided at no cost and no obligation.
- Deposit. If you choose to move forward, a non-refundable project deposit is required before work begins. The deposit amount varies based on the size and complexity of the project and will be stated in writing before payment. The deposit reserves your place on CEI's production schedule, covers onboarding and project-preparation activities, and compensates CEI for committing time and availability to your engagement. The deposit is credited in full toward the total project fee and is not an additional charge.
- Final payment. The remaining balance is due upon project completion as stated on your invoice. Final deliverable files are released upon receipt of full payment.
- Late or failed payment. CEI reserves the right to pause work, withhold deliverables, or close a project where invoices remain unpaid past their due date.
5. Revisions
Each service includes the number of revision rounds stated in your engagement. Revisions are intended to refine the agreed deliverable, not to expand the project's scope. Requests beyond the included revisions, or requests that materially change the scope of the project, may be quoted and billed separately. Revision requests must be submitted within fourteen (14) days of delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Project Communication and Abandonment
Projects move on the timely exchange of information. If a client becomes unresponsive for thirty (30) or more consecutive days despite reasonable attempts to make contact, CEI may close the project. In that event, the deposit and any fees for work already performed are retained, and reopening the project may require a new engagement and fees.
7. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, you own the final deliverables created specifically for you (for example, your resume or your company's capability statement). CEI retains ownership of its own methods, processes, templates, frameworks, and any pre-existing materials used in creating your deliverables, and may continue to use them in its business. CEI may not publish or share your deliverables or identify you as a client without your written permission.
8. Independent Business
CEI is an independent, privately owned business. CEI is not a government agency and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any federal, state, or local government agency. Services reflect professional experience and publicly available knowledge; they do not constitute government advice, insider access, or influence over any hiring or contracting decision.
9. Not Legal, Financial, or Tax Advice
CEI's services are professional writing, career, and business consulting services. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. For matters requiring licensed professional advice, please consult an appropriately licensed professional.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) CEI's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you paid to CEI for the specific Service giving rise to the claim; and (b) CEI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost employment or contract awards, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CEI, its owner, and its contractors from and against any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of inaccurate or misleading information, or your misuse of any deliverable.
12. Right to Decline or Discontinue Service
CEI reserves the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone, including where a request involves dishonest, unlawful, or abusive conduct, or misrepresentation of qualifications. If CEI discontinues an engagement for reasons other than client breach, any fees paid for work not yet performed will be refunded.
13. Website Content
Content on this website is provided for general information and is owned by CEI. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute website content, templates, or materials without written permission.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties agree to first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
15. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with your written engagement confirmation, our Privacy Policy, Service Disclaimer, and Cancellation & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CEI regarding the Services. If you sign a Professional Services Agreement with CEI, that signed agreement controls in the event of any conflict with these Terms or any website policy.

Service Disclaimer
Effective Date: July 15, 2026 Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Competitive Edge Innovation LLC d/b/a Competitive Edge Innovations ("CEI") provides professional resume writing, career services, and business consulting with skill, care, and integrity. In fairness to every client and visitor, we want to be clear about what our services are — and what they are not.
1. No Guarantee of Results
CEI does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment, promotions, salary outcomes, contract awards, winning bids, or any other specific result. Hiring and contracting decisions are made by employers, agencies, and contracting officials based on many factors beyond the quality of any document or strategy, including competition, qualifications, timing, budgets, and organizational needs. Our commitment is to deliver expert, professionally crafted work — not to promise outcomes no honest provider can control.
2. Client-Provided Information
All deliverables are created from information provided by the client. The client is solely responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy, and completeness of that information. CEI does not verify client-provided facts and expressly disclaims responsibility for any consequence arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information supplied by a client, or from a client's alteration of a deliverable after final delivery.
3. Professional Services — Not Licensed Advice
CEI's services are writing and consulting services. They are not legal, financial, tax, accounting, or licensed career placement services, and nothing provided by CEI should be relied upon as such. Clients should consult appropriately licensed professionals for advice in those areas.
4. Independent Private Business
CEI is a privately owned Virginia limited liability company. CEI is not a government agency, is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, and has no influence over any government hiring or contracting decision. References to federal acquisition experience describe professional background only. All services are based on professional expertise and publicly available information.
5. Coaching and Evaluation Services
Career coaching, bid opportunity evaluations, and similar advisory services reflect CEI's professional judgment and are provided to inform — not replace — the client's own decisions. The client retains full responsibility for all decisions made, including whether to pursue any position, opportunity, or bid.
6. Examples and Testimonials
Any results, examples, or testimonials referenced by CEI reflect the genuine experiences of specific clients, shared with their permission. They are illustrations of individual experiences, not promises or predictions of what any other client will achieve.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective Date: July 15, 2026 Last Updated: July 15, 2026
We believe in clear expectations before any money changes hands. This policy explains how consultations, deposits, cancellations, and refunds work at Competitive Edge Innovation LLC d/b/a Competitive Edge Innovations ("CEI").
1. Free Consultation
Your initial consultation is completely free and carries no obligation. It exists so we can understand your needs, recommend the right service, and confirm we're the right fit — before you commit to anything.
2. Deposits
If you choose to move forward after your consultation, a deposit is required to initiate your project.
- Amount. The deposit varies based on the size and complexity of your project and will always be stated in writing before you pay.
- Non-refundable. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit reserves your place on our production schedule, covers onboarding and project-preparation activities, and compensates CEI for committing time and availability to your engagement. Once substantive work begins, it also applies toward intake review, research, planning, and initial drafting.
- Credited to your invoice. Your deposit is not an extra fee. It is applied in full toward your final invoice, reducing your remaining balance upon project completion.
3. Cancellation by the Client
- Before work begins: You may cancel by written notice (email is sufficient). The deposit is retained; no further fees are owed.
- After work has begun: The deposit is retained. Work completed beyond the value of the deposit may be billed based on the percentage of the project completed or an agreed hourly rate. CEI will explain any additional charge in writing, and the total will not exceed the agreed project fee unless you previously approved additional work.
- Consultations: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a consultation. Repeated no-shows may result in a scheduling deposit being required for future appointments.
4. Cancellation by CEI
If CEI must cancel or discontinue a project for reasons other than client breach or unresponsiveness, any amounts paid for work not yet performed — including the deposit, in this circumstance only — will be refunded.
5. Refunds on Delivered Work
Because our services are custom, personalized professional services, completed and delivered work is not eligible for a refund. Your satisfaction is addressed through the revision rounds included with your service: if a deliverable misses the mark, tell us within the revision window and we will work with you in good faith to refine it. This is the fair balance for a service that cannot be "returned" once the work is performed.
6. Unresponsive Projects
If a client becomes unresponsive for thirty (30) or more consecutive days despite reasonable attempts at contact, the project may be closed and fees for work performed, including the deposit, are retained. Reopening a closed project may require a new engagement.
7. Payment Disputes
We are committed to resolving concerns directly and fairly — please contact us first with any billing question. Nothing in our policies prohibits you from exercising any payment-dispute right that cannot lawfully be waived; however, knowingly initiating a false, fraudulent, or unsupported chargeback for services properly delivered in accordance with the written engagement constitutes a breach of our Terms & Conditions.
8. How to Cancel or Ask a Question
All cancellation requests and billing questions should be sent in writing to info@ce-innovations.com. We respond promptly to every inquiry.
These policies work together. By engaging CEI's services, clients acknowledge the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Service Disclaimer, and this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
